So, given that this is starting to look like a full-on case of the ten plagues of Egypt, I think it might be smart to start thinking about keeping all the first-borns and only children safe from that last plague. Which, if this schedule keeps up, will hit at midnight on November 4th.

For those of you who don't know, the last plague of Egypt was the death of the firstborn children of Egypt. God's chosen people were saved by painting lamb's blood on their doors and staying indoors. SO. My boss and I think it might be a good idea for us to find a place to gather the first-borns and the only children, and paint the doors with lamb's blood. I mean, we could all go out and get our own lamb's blood, but how much of that is REALLY going to be available in the city, especially when we're cut off from god knows how much of the state? So we conserve blood, get people in one place, and hope for the best.

Sound like a plan? Anyone know a place that would hold a lot of people?

Heyyyyy you better not be cheating me out of any Heil Maries or whatever you guys do.

I'll figure something out. most of my temple-- they're mundane. And the last thing I need is my parents finding out about me. Well, I don't think my dad would care. But my mom's a horror enough already. Although, nothing compared to your family life, it seems, so maybe I should just shut up now. Never really been good at that.

I'll figure it out. I'll probably talk to my rabbi on Sunday and ask her what her plans are.

I'll get back to you in the next couple of days about the auditorium. The biggest issue is going to be transporation. How are we going to get people there?

Walking? I mean, it'll be a pain, but get a couple archangels or a behemoth or two to accompany a handful of people, and you're gonna be as safe as possible.

we're gonna have to get people in there starting on tuesday, though. think you can manage that? Then we can start organizing walks. where's the center?

Not everyone will be able to walk that far. Might be able to grab a pedi-cab or two for those who need help.

And yeah. I can manage Tuesday. The JCC I'll be able to get is the one on Melrose Avenue. You know where that is?

general area. i can get the cross-streets without a problem. the biggest worry i think is getting the crew from here in the gauche over there, but i think most of us can make it.

there's one person i'm worried about, but i'll get something figured out for her.

we can probably find a couple shapeshifters or behemoths that won't mind riders or pulling carts or something. so that's no big.
