Riding piggy on the bad boy's back for life - A guardian angel who was raised an archangel is not exactly the most content angel ever. Add to that the fact that wards are being found younger than ever, due to the Rift and demonic activity, and, well, you've got the recipie for disaster. Her ward is going to be nothing like she thinks he should be, and he's going to be mortified to have a guardian angel, much less one like her. This demon will force her to think. Think about her opinion of demons, think about her unquestioning loyalty to her family and Romana, think about her opinion of guardian angels, think about her ideas of the world in general. He'll also probably fuck her up more than a little, but that's a side effect of having to protect a demon. [Elashte ([livejournal.com profile] elashte)]

Lining up for the execution - Tay was raised to be an archangel. She was trained for the hunt, the best ways to find and kill demons. She hasn't had the advantage of angelic strength or speed yet, but she's a pretty damn good hunter in her own right, for all that she's only just barely sixteen. So despite the fact that she's turned out as a guardian, she's going to go hunting from time to time. And lesser demons should beware, because she's actually quite good at what she does. [open to weaker demons who would like to be killed]

No answers for no questions asked - Tay has been taught, her whole life, to be a good little soldier, to always listen to her superior "officers", and to take orders without question. Her idol, for her whole (very short) life, has been Romana Angelo, the First Angel cum Archangel, and the oldest creature native to this world. The way she followed her father's and grandfather's orders her whole life, she'll follow Romana's. She needs a commanding officer, of sorts, even though hunting isn't the same as war. She'll be Romana's best little right-hand angel, and when her loyalty starts to waver under her ward's influence, it won't be pretty. [Romana Angelos ([livejournal.com profile] ofrageandruin)]

Lining up for the grand illusion - Tay knows nothing about being a guardian angel, other than the absolute basics: you find your ward, you protect them until one (or both) of you dies. She's always looked down on guardian angels, and the sad fact is that quite a few other archangels and vengeance angels do as well. She's a guardian angel now, and none of the people she's used to looking up to or relying on is equipped to help her handle with that. What she needs is a guardian angel or two to take pity on the poor angelet and actually talk to her, show her the ropes. It doesn't have to be specific to protection or guarding - she just needs to know what there is to life when it's not all about the hunt. [Nate Wallace ([livejournal.com profile] reluctantxangel), 1-2 openings to a non-vengeance angel or archangel or a human]

You say we're not responsible, but we are - Tay's family is comprised of archangels with the worst case of angelic prejudice and heirarchy in the country, probably one of the worst in the world. When they find out that not only is she a guardian (the lowest rung on the ladder, so they think), but her ward is a Neqa'el demon? They're going to practically disown her. Tay is extremely close to her family, and having them cut her off completely is going to break her more than she'll let on. She'll make an attempt, for a while, to prove that she's still just as useful as a guardian, but eventually, she'll give up trying to impress her family. And when she does that, stops basing her confidence and self-image in being an archangel, and impressing her family, she'll become a lot more confident and probably impress them anyway. But family ties like that, once severed, are so hard to put back together, and when they (inevitably) try, she's not going to want to go along. [open to 1-3 archangels related to the Barnams]

See the devil on the doorstep now - Tay is young. Tay is, when you get past (or around) her very firmly set beliefs about angels, demons, and the way the world is supposed to work, rather easy to influence and seduce. As Elashte's guardian angel, she's going to have to be around Main Gauche and demons in general more than she'd like (which is to say, at all). And being around demons... well, despite all her conditioning, once her foundations begin to shake, it'll be all too easy to get in to mess her up, seduce her, drive her a little mad. And as long as they don't break her (too badly), Elashte probably won't have too much of a problem with a couple of the demons having a little fun with her. [1-2 openings for demons, plotting required]

And we've never been so alone - There are very few people who can understand just what it's like for a child from a family of archangels to turn out, against all expectations, to be a guardian. There's one person in Tay's world who knows this, and she will (rather against her own desires, at first) find herself relying on this angel quite a bit, for the first couple of months after her wings come in. Comraderie and companionship, sympathy, and more than a little inadvertant mentoring will likely come of this relationship, and in time, Tay will probably respect this angel a lot more (and a lot less blindly) than she ever respected her father or Romana.
