[Locked to Angels]

Wow, it's weird to see a whole new set of entries in this thing. Also that people are using it as, like... an actual journal.

Very weird. In Boston, we mostly use it when our cell phones or radios aren't working, or if we want to have a private conversation with someone and can't see them face-to-face. Like an announcement board, I guess.

This, though, is fucked up. You've got humans and demons on the link? No offense, guys, but what shit are you on? You're better off shutting THAT down, it just clogs up the lines of communication.

I know I haven't gotten my wings yet, so I have no seniority whatsoever, but Jesus. I expected a hell of a lot better from angels based at such a large Rift epicenter.

Romana, if there's anything I can do to help tighten things up around here, just let me know. I like to be useful.

Know thy enemy, grasshopper. There's valuable intel to be found when people don't think to lock shit. Sure, it's a clusterfuck when it comes to organization, but it helps in a pinch.

Also I'm pretty sure none of us have a damned clue how to shut down what we don't want on the channel.

Oh, now I remember why I don't talk to archangels much anymore. They're psychotic assholes.

Thanks, I needed the refresher course there.

Some of us are guardian angels with human wards who have these journals. I agree with you about the demons, but the humans who have these journals need them to keep in touch with us when we're not around.

And I'm not entirely sure I like the tone of your writing. You don't have to "yell" at us about it.

I'd agree that there's a disappointing lack of organization in both journalling procedure and Rift-response management, but unfortunately, the Rift itself makes such matters problematic at best. Especially where the journals are concerned. For whatever reason, in Chicago they seem to have a bit more of a mind of their own than in other cities I've worked in.

If I remember correctly there was some talk on how to research them around '82 and '83, but no one could quite figure out a way. And as no Angels of Knowledge were, at that point, willing to import themselves to Chicago, the effort was ultimately put on hold.
