I was sort of hoping being seventeen would feel different from being sixteen.

So far, it's been... about the same.

Also? Carnivals are fucking creepy.

Has anyone else noticed their friends or family acting... weird, after visiting the carnival?

While I have no idea if the Carnival was precisely the cause, I must admit my cat becoming a raging monster and terrorizing the city was, at least, moderately consistent with its arrival.

Of course, that might simply be a coincidence.

Right, more immediate problems. You've got a cat who turned into a monster. I have a sweet, floppy-haired guardian angel who constantly looks like you just ran over his puppy with a steamroller who's suddenly acting like a total slimeball.

What the hell caused it? What do we do about it?

If I had any idea, I'd have dealt with it by now, despite this all being a bit out of my depth. I'm assuming you've actually been inside it, which begs the question of what your friend was doing before he changed. The difference between you and I is that it's a lot less insane to retrace the steps of a person than it is a cat.

I don't know what he was doing. He sort of wandered off when we got there, mumbled something about staying out of the way or something, and then met up with us before we left.

I'm more concerned with whether or not he's going to chew my arm off once I've found him. I'll leave the actual reconnaissanse to someone who has the manpower that can deal with that sort of situation- and once that's dealt with, I'll concern myself with the why.

Well. Then my suggestion is go back to where it all began and go from there- surely someone might be able to point you in the appropriate direction. If he hasn't actively started hurting anyone yet, if that's even his intent, then you have the time, although that could very well not be the case for very long.

Probably for the best, if it's your cat, though. I usually go monster hunting in the city. Might've hurt him.

My car was stolen by someone who lives in my dorm building, and I know most of the people in the building have been by now. And Davey's been acting really angry, but his camera broke at the carnival.

But I don't know! It's really hard to say people are being weird when they're already art majors!

Do you know Cy? I went in the fun house with her and she was getting a weird psychic impression from it, I think. But I didn't know what to make of it.
